Our stock price is off 70% this year – we don’t need our CEO to be seen courtside at the NBA Finals

After the 2008 financial market collapse, a number of companies chose to leave their tickets and sponsorships unused. They were under so much pressure from public perception, they decided spending the money and NOT going to the events was the right thing to do.

That is totally backwards.

While the optics of sitting courtside at an NBA game when the company is struggling is not the best look, it doesn’t mean the tickets need to go to waste. Instead, the company got a much needed $23,000 and the ability to keep their terrific investment so they have it in better times.
